The 20GHz coaxial isolator is the essential component in the millimeter waves circuits. It is small, light, joins convenient and reliable. The article aim at the design of the 20GHz coaxial isolator. It use circle knot circuit model in structural, theoretical arithmetic the circuit parameter, then build electromagnetic field of high frequency and magnetostatic field simulation model use HFSS and Maxwell software. Through simulating and optimizing the model, solved the optimization of the circuit parameter. Successfully develop the 20GHz coaxial isolator sample which used in the modernize Military electronics equipment systems via the parameter measurement of the absorber, the design and matching technique of the absorber and the research of the assemble and debug of the device.In the theoretical calculation, it major include the parameter of the gyromagneticferrite, the chip size and the circuit dimensions.In software simulation,it can reduced the difficulty and research funds greatly by the use of HFSS and Maxwell. After the optimize of the HFSS, the error can reduced to 1~2%.When the load design,the article figure out the carbonyl iron absorber's basic parameter in different frequency via the measurement of the absorber. Using the basic parameter design the absorbing load more reasonable.The parameter of the 20GHz coaxial isolator shows as follows:Frequency range: 20±0.5GHz;Insertion loss:≤0.6dB;Isolation:≥20dB;Standing wave:≤1.3;Operating temperature: -40~+70℃,which satisfy the demand of practicability.
