This research is mainly divided into two parts. In the first part, the land surface temperature(LST) of the Changbai Mountain is retrieved based on Landsat TM/ETM+remote sensing data, combining with the meteorological data in the study region, using the Mono-window Algorithm proposed by Qin Zhihao.After that, the preliminary validation and precision evaluation of the results was done. The conclusion showed that the inversion results had a better precision. In the second part, spatial distribution pattern of the land surface temperature was analyzed, meanwhile, the relationship between the LST and NDVI and its land use/cover was analyzed.In the inversion process of the land surface temperature, three basic parameters namely land surface emissivity, atmospheric transmittance and atmospheric average temperature was firstly acquired. After that, the LST of the study region was retrieved combining the bright temperature. The results showed higher precision after compared with the measured surface temperature. The results showed a larger error. The reasons was that the surface coverage type were complex, plus the complexity of atmospheric interference, the uncertainty of land surface emissivity, the direction of the land surface radiation, the pixels with different temperature and various kinds of approximate algorithm.From the LST image of two periods there are three obvious high temperature regions after the analysis of the spatial distribution pattern of the LST. They are near the Tianchi crater, northeast and southwest of the North Korea side. The reasons of their formulation are different. After divisional statistics of the land surface temperature in study region, the LST sorting showed different. Overall, the LST of two periods in each district relatively changed little. But the LST of North Korea side ranked first in two periods.The research on the relationship between the LST and land use/coverage were divided into two aspects:one was the study on the relationship between the LST and NDVI, the other was the study on the relationship between the LST and land use/cover. In the first part, the study on the relationship between the LST and NDVI could be seen as the study on the relationship between LST and vegetation coverage and land use/land cover changes to some extent. The result showed that the LST was strongly negatively correlated with the NDIV. In the second part, the results showed that the average LST of the bare land, waste-grassland and building site was higher than that of the other kinds while the average LST of the water and forest land showed lower. Alpine tundra ranked backer in the LST sorting than others. Standard deviation of the paddy field and forest land were smaller in each period.
