For a long time, there are still a lot of insufficient departments about thought research of Chinese youth party as the representative of the nationalism school for a variety of reasons in academic circles. Especially, the research achievements for the whole group or individual character's thought of culture are not enough. This paper mainly takes the cultural thought of Chang Yan-sheng one of Chinese youth party leaders as research object,focus on cultural conception, features and significance of his cultural view at the different stages to draw the outline of his cultural thought. At the same time, it lays special stress on analyzing the inner contradictions of cultural thought in different period, reveals the inner logic and dilemma among the development of cultural thought. The whole paper is organized as follows:The first part is an introduction. Firstly, it introduces the background of his age and life story. Secondly, it summarized the current situation and trends on the study and author's topic selection.The second part:Chang Yan-sheng's cultural thought during the May Fourth period.
