Purpose: This research observes the clinical curative effect of four step and eight method in order to treat KOA(pattern of stasis obstructing sinew), to further discuss and recognize the KOA pathology mechanism and the function mechanism of four step and eight method.Method:60patients of KOA were randomly divided into two groups (treatment group&control group). We applied the four step and eight method to treat in treatment group, while30patients in control group were treated by acupotome therapy. The author systematically observed four step and eight method sinfluence on the patients'total symptom scores and the improvement of condition.Result: The clinical research results indicated:the treatment group showed that the controls and obviously rate was60.00%, the total effectiveness was90.00%. The control group showed the controls and obviously rate as43.33%; the total effectiveness as73.33%. The controls and obviously rate as comparative total effectiveness of the two groups had significant differences (P<0.05). It indicated treatment group results surpassed the control group in the efficacy.Conclusion:The four step and eight method is effective on treating KOA, and worth popularizing and recipe is effective on applying in clinic.
