A Research Of Development Strategy Of The Sugarcane Mechanization In The Guangxi Province

Sugarcane is a pillar industry upon which20million farmers of the Guangxi Province live and develop. In recent years, the benefit of the sugarcane begin to decline owing to the rise of the labor force price, the substitution of the other economic crops, and the impact of the low price in the international sugarcane industry, etc. The sugarcane industry is facing great challenges. So a mechanization strategy is proposed to solve the development predicament in the Guangxi sugarcane industry.Strategic management theory is exploited in this paper. Firstly, it is pointed out that the mechanization is the solution for the sustainable development of the sugarcane produce through the analyses on the production link and mechanization in the sugarcane produce. Secondly, the opportunities and potential threats are presented by analyzing the external environment of the sugarcane mechanization and the industry competitive situation. Thirdly, the internal development condition and ability of the current sugarcane mechanization are analyzed, and their advantage and disadvantage are also identified to seek the breakthrough in the development of sugarcane mechanization. Fourthly, by means of the ability analyses on the strategic objective of the sugarcane mechanization in the Guangxi Province, the SWOT analysis on the mechanization strategy is implemented and its development strategy program is discussed. On this basis, the sugarcane mechanization in the Guangxi Province is selected and evaluated. It is concluded that, the advantages of the sugarcane mechanization in the Guangxi Province are superior to its disadvantages and an expansion strategy should be taken. The opportunities of the sugarcane mechanization in the Guangxi Province are superior to its threats and a target focusing strategy should be supplemented. Furthermore, the management innovation strategy and technology innovation strategy can be implemented at the right time and project. Fifthly, the strategy path of the sugarcane mechanization in the Guangxi Province is established. According to the principles of unified management and local conditions, every aspects of the sugarcane production is overall arrangement in the whole province, including the relevant functional departments of the government, agriculture, agricultural, industrial information department, farmers, sugar industry and the agricultural machinery manufacturer. A unified and coordinated policy should be formulated. In the unified technical standards, agronomic standards, and operational standards of the sugar industry, the intension and large-scale of the land should be promoted. Carrying out a mature sugarcane production mechanization mode in the whole province, the sugarcane mechanization will finally realize and the sustainable development of the sugarcane industry will be ensured.
