Investigation On The Development Status Of Sugarcane Mechanized Harvest In Guangxi And Influencing Factors

Guangxi is the largest sugarcane production base in China.In recent years,Guangxi has vigorously promoted the construction of sugarcane "double high" base,which has led to the increase of sugarcane output in Guangxi year after year.However,the popularization speed of sugarcane mechanization in Guangxi is relatively slow,especially the mechanization level of sugarcane harvest link is seriously lagging behind.Sugarcane harvest mechanization has become the biggest weakness of sugarcane mechanization in Guangxi.In recent years,with the advancement of urbanization,the loss of rural population is serious,which leads to the increase of labor cost year by year,and the cost of sugarcane planting is also gradually increasing,squeezing the income of sugarcane farmers.Moreover,the high cost of sugarcane production makes the price of sugar in China more than double that in foreign countries,which seriously weakens the competitiveness of China’s sugarcane industry.Therefore,to make up for the short-comings and improve the mechanization level of sugarcane harvest is the only way for Guangxi and even the whole country to enhance the competitiveness and modernization of sugarcane industry.It is also an inevitable measure to increase farmers’ income and realize the strategy of Rural Revitalization.Through extensive literature review,this paper understands the development status of sugarcane harvesting mechanization at home and abroad and in Guangxi,and preliminarily understands the factors restricting the development of sugarcane harvesting mechanization in Guangxi.Then,through field research and hands on experiments,we master a large number of first-hand data,and use SWOT method and logistic regression method to deeply analyze these first-hand data,so as to clarify the reasons for the lagging development of sugarcane mechanization in Guangxi.The research shows that the high harvest loss rate and impurity content of sugarcane mechanization,the mismatch between the agronomy of sugarcane production and the requirements of harvest mechanization,and the excessive sugar loss of sugarcane harvested by machinery,which leads to the restriction of the number of sugarcane harvested by machine in the sugar factory,are the important reasons that restrict the popularization of Sugarcane Harvest Mechanization in Guangxi.In view of the problems existing in the development of sugarcane harvesting mechanization in Guangxi,the following countermeasures are put forward: strengthen the research and development of sugarcane harvesting machines suitable for the terrain of sugarcane areas in China,improve the level of sugarcane harvesting technology,and reduce sugarcane harvest loss and impurity content;Formulate and promote the mechanized planting and harvesting standards of sugarcane;Establish an effective coordinated operation mode of sugarcane harvesting,transportation and crushing;Provide better policy support,etc.
