Traditional analog switching power supply chip is based on the traditional performance standards, can not be very effective in managing the entire system power level, thus allowing system designers need to use multiple discrete components or programming needed to implement their own programs. In recent years, large scale integrated circuits ASIC, and digital signal processor DSP technology to become the basis of changes in switching power supply, while the computer and communication systems to promote the development of switching power supply has become the most important driving force for change. Switching power supply beginning to move in the direction of the development of digital, digital technology research has become a hot spot.This article focuses on the use of digital on / off power switch chip control technology sub-modules of some of the internal analysis, research, design, and research and development of a set of high and low voltage circuit is compatible with BCD Process. In this paper, include the following aspects:First, introducing the concept of switching power supplies and the basic principles ,used in the design of the EDA software and single-chip power switches commonly used in topology and control method ,single-chip power switch commonly used control method, and use of digital on / off control method of digital control technology for analysis.Second, analysis of the overall system design of the chip works, described digital on/off control technology applications in the overall chip, analysis, design and simulation verification of auto-restart module circuit, reference source module circuit and current limit comparator module circuit. Simulation results show that the circuit can be designed to achieve the desired functionalityFinally, monolithic power switch chips based on the principal components involved in the structure and characteristics of the various devices, integrated set of compatible low-voltage circuits for high-BCD process, using TCAD software part of the process simulation and device simulation of electrical properties, Simulation results show that the BCD process can be designed to achieve the required device.
