Computer, LED lights and other electronic products must pass the AC-DCconverter that converts the AC voltage to DC voltage to work properly. Ten yearsago, due to the limitations of the technology, control circuit of the AC-DC converterand power tube can not be integrated into the same chip. But now, control circuit andpower tube can be integrated into the same chip that is called a monolithic integratedcircuit. The chip has good reliability, low cost, low power consumption. This paper will design a monolithic integrated AC-DC power management chip.Compared with the previous concept, this paper has the following three aspects ofthe innovation:1)the frequency jitter function can solve the problem ofEMI.2)dual-loop control mode includes voltage control mode and current controlmode that can improve the response speed of the system, and enhance systemperformance.3)the control circuit and power tube can be integrated into the samechip.Firstly, this paper introduces the history of the development of the switchingpower supply, basic theoretical knowledge and the internal structure of the chip. Thesecond section designs the sub-circuit that has be simulationed. Sub-circuit moduleincludes the divider circuit, pulse width modulation circuit, oscillator circuit, frequency jitter circuit, slope compensation circuit, leading edge blanking circuit, reference circuit, Overvoltage protection circuit, etc. And then this paper validatesthe overall circuit simulation. The finally, this paper designs the overall layout andsub-circuit layout. The chip uses the BCD process, the AC input voltage range85V-265V, theoperating Temperature-50—145. By way of Spectre and Hspice simulation, the testresults show that the circuit functionality and performance indicators that meet thedesign requirements.
