Research And Development, Based On The Struts Framework And Arcims Webgis

WebGIS is a product which is combined by the geographic information system and the Internet. WebGIS has a more nimble structure and is good in extension, so it can fully use all kinds of computation resources in the network to effectively realize the spatial data, share and integrate the correlation resources and provide a good way of using the spatial information and gaining space information service for user. So in nowadays WebGIS is the mainstream development tendency of geography information technology at present.Based on the characteristic mentioned above, this paper discuss the WebGIS system's development plan of Digital GanZhou which used the platform of ArcIMS and the advanced OOP language—Java. The designing mode of MVC and Struts are applied in the system's logic framework. Using the characteristic of Struts's business logic and the performance level separated, it is allowed to separate the graphical display and the complex space data processing in development. So it solved the complex problems of great variety models, various data and complex interaction.The data of this paper which is quotated is the digital maps of Ganzhou city, the scale of which is 1: 50,000. As a result of spatial characteristic in this digital map, therefore the expansion relations database and the spatial data engine are introduced for these maps. In exploiture, using the SQL Server database and the space data engine—ArcSDE unified to manage space data, it can realized that database access quantity huge space data with high efficiency.Digital GanZhou of WebGIS is developed by using the technology of ArcIMS, Struts, Java, JavaScript, by using this technology it can display the Digital GanZhou map layer by layer, retrieve the information of GIS etc. The WebGIS system development based on Struts of J2EE architecture is discussed in this paper, which is a new method of WebGIS design up to now.
