With recent developments in networking technologies, it promotes the development ofmulti-media networking technologies greatly. Compared to the traditional data application, the multi-media application integrated various kinds of medium. These medium data mustunfold with a kind of synchro way to the consumer, it becomes to be one of the keytechnologies in multi-media communications to restore these medium synchronism relationcorrectly.synchroization has received a wide range of attention. The research work in this dissertation carries study on multi-media synchronization forcontinuous media, and the major contents are outlined as follows:1. Research of a feedback control scheme for media synchronization of stored mediabased on dynamic buffer threshold value of receive angle, adjusting the UTB(upper targetboundary) and LTB(lower target boundary) dynamicly, This scheme can compensate fordelay jiter and net work anomaly, adapt to network instability state dynamicly, cut downthe adjustment in the receive angle to the best of it's abilities through certain level smoothtreatment.2. According to EDL playout requirement, we control the transform and playoutdepending on the bottom protocols, we simplify the RTP/RTCP and design new RTP/RTCPframe, simplify the Protocols and apply for the EDL playout according to standardRTP/RTCP frame.3. Design and implement of CG (Computer Graphics) story board explorer—EDL(Edit Decision Lists) multi-media player. This scheme introduces the software design ofclient angle and sever angle particularly. Firstly, this scheme describes the implement oflocal multi-media player. secondly, it analyses the DirectShow design of networkmulti-media player.
