The Construction And Research Of Streaming Media Teaching Based On DirectShow

With the development of the Internet basic construction and the improvement of audio and video compression technology, the streaming media communication exchange platform based on the Internet is paid more and more attention. At present the network teaching that applies streaming technology is becoming the focus of studying the application of streaming media.This paper deeply discusses and studies the technology related to streaming media teaching system aiming to develop practical teaching system according to the prevailing media technology. This teaching system adapts C/S frame, consisting of four functional software modules: server, client terminal, recording and playing of the teaching scene, in which the recording and playing modules can be taken as a separate system applied in some conditions such as famous teachers teaching and distant teaching.The paper first briefly introduces the developing modules and methods provided by the streaming media platforms of DirectShow SDK, Windows Media Format SDK 9.0/9.5 in Microsoft. Meanwhile, it addresses the collection and coding of three-way information of computer screen, teaching video and teaching audio in the recoding module of this teaching system. And it explains the detailed fulfillment process of ASF document produced in the combination of multi-media information. In the play part of ASF document, it adapts the document-reading instrument in DirectShow to realize the reading of multi-media ASF document and synchronously display three media information.The whole system adapts open flat technology and uses the open source of coding and decoding appliance so as to make the operation interface more friendly and more easily used. Meanwhile it divides the functional modules into different parts, which is useful to maintain the system and update the version.
