With the development of the Internet and information technology, the new media times come eventually, regardless of your embracement or opposition.Entering the times of new media is a great leap of the mews diffusion, which is a milestone in the history of mass diffusion. The greatest advantage of the new media times lies in their drawing the relationship closer between the author and the public and giving the possibility for each audience to become a diffuser, which greatly improved the status of the audiences and broke the one-way character of the traditional media diffusion. However, the facts that cannot be denied is that networks, the "double-bladed sword" bring us the good information as well as some relevant changes and problems that we can not accept easily in the meanwhile.In the new media times, the audiences are not the "target" in the past, and the aims that they use the media are not simply for self-identity or alertness and companions. Comprehending the audiences' demands and investigating their subdivision and orientation have become a new subject in the new media times already and are being paid great attention to by all sorts of medias. After all, in the nearly severe competition, the demands of the audiences are almost equal to the circulation, clicking rates and the rates of watching and listening, and the figures directly concern the existence and development of the medias. So the demands of the audiences in the new media times have too much relation to the profits of the media co. And then what is the real relation? And what kind of hints and direction can we get by understanding the relationship between the management and productions of the media?This article begins with the backgrounds of the new media times, through analyzing the demands of the audiences and the subdivision and orientation of the audiences, further explored the property and profits of the media and uncovered the mysterious relationship between the demands of the audiences and the profits of the media. And the author hopes that this article can bring great advantages for the management and development of the media.
