The basic organic light emitting device (OLED) consists of a number of ultra-thin organic layers between two electrode. Under low applied voltage, the recombination of carriers coming from cathode and anode can produce intense light output. Since 1987, OLED have received much attention, now it is applied to the compact portable equipments largely such as mobile phone, MP3 player etc and is beginning to enter the field of large flat panel display device.How to realize a video processing system which used for OLED module is the aim of this thesis. In the thesis, first of all, it takes a review of the concepts and theories describing the mechanism of organic electro-luminescence, as well as introduces some research about the driving circuit for OLED and the advantage of OLED comparing to other flat panel display devices. After that, a method which can realize the whole system is presented, including targets in technology. Using FPGA as design core can realize the system, as well as, the software plant and hardware plant will be discussed later.The specific design of video processing system, include system structure and program code using Verilog HDL, will be described carefully in later chapter. The simulation result and evaluation of every module in the system will also be presented.The thesis investigates the design technologies of OLED video processing by means of implementing OLED display system with high resolving power. It provides preliminary study for OLED digital display.
