As a new kind of microwave power modules, a MPM consisting of a broad-band TWT, a solid-state driver and an Integrated Power Conditioning, is a very important part in a next-generation electronic military system In the thesis, the solid-state driver is analyzed, then a circuit diagram for the driver is proposed. The diagram consists of 2 cascaded amplifiers and a integrated microstrip power equalizer, and can supply the TWT with driving power and gain equalization.Designing methods for a microstrip power equalizer are analyzed, among which a convenient one is given, with which a circuit template based on lossy microstrip impedance resonators is designed and optimized by CAD, then a designing guide for microwave power equalizer is presented.With the method, a 6~18GHz microwave power equalizer is designed for the first time in China. The solid-state driver exhibits a gain of 30dB, saturated output power of 1Watt, and a gain equalizing factor over 10dB in 6~18GHz. |
