| With the development and popularity of modern information technology, mod ern information-based programs have become a part of archives construction and an important way to offer service in archives since1990s. During the past20y ears, archives websites spring up and the Internet services of them are much im proved. Since archives websites provide much convenience to users and save ma ny human and material resources, they have been becoming bridges of communic ation between users and archives. As the portal of archives, archives websites off er concerned information and service by its homepage. With the development of archives digitalization, construction of archives websites has been becoming the k ey emphasis in work for file clerks, which attracts widespread concern. However, at the time of rapid development, archives websites, as emergent service, have one problem or another which, in turn, hinder the further development. Only by understanding and solving these problems can archives websites go farther and th en be updated and perfected continually.The paper includes five chapters. The first chapter focuses on the research b ackgrounds, purposes and meaning of the construction of archives websites, and r eviews domestic literature about it. Centering on the purposes and meaning, the second chapter makes theoretical demonstrations on the meaning and value of pr omoting archives websites throughout our country. The third chapter makes an an alogy analysis of differences and similarities between Chinese and foreign archive s websites after careful researches on the overall pictures of archives websites’c onstruction home and abroad, and concisely introduces portals of foreign national archives bureaus. Having compared archives websites home and abroad, the four th chapter summarizes and lists all problems existing in the construction of archi ves websites and experiences we have learned. Thus, the fifth chapter based on t he previous four chapters draws a blueprint for the development of archives web sites, and proposes precious ideas and suggestions, contributing to the improveme nt of the general level of archives websites’ construction theoretically. |
