Since the household contract responsibility system implemented, our rural society has undergone changes and become a very different society, one of the most prominent changes should be the diversification and complicated of the rural class structure, this is also the adjustment and big changes of the rural society in the background of the industrialization and urbanization. For the study of the social stratums in the rural can not only show the specific situation of the rural social, but also provides a path and a unique experience in the "San Nong" problem, it will provide reference for the construction of new countryside in China. To study the peasants’ class differentiation is of both theoretical and practical significant.Therefore, this paper based on the rural class differentiation as the research subject, combed through the veins of the change of the rural class differentiation and summarized the current status of the rural social stratum differentiation, then put forward seven classes in today’s rural society and descriped the survival status of all classes briefly. At the same time, on the basis of analysising the feature of imbalanced, transitional and upward, we found that because of the continuous differentiation of classes in China’s rural areas, the whole society is full of vigor and vitality. However, there are still problems should be attentioned. Such as:the problem of rear personnel, a growing gap between each stratum, human dilution and the household registration system which is the biggest obstacle in the process of rural social stratum differentiation. At last, the author put forward some proposals to deal the rural social stratum differentiation. And also shows that with the further level development of the rural social stratum differentiation, hundreds of millions of farmers in China will have a better future.
