The Introduction Of International Direct Investment And Optimize The Industrial Structure In China

Under the circumstances of the increasing of opening and our entering into WTO, the economy of our country has been part of the circle of international economy. The accelerating economic globalization supplies chances and challenges for the adjustment of industrial structure of our country. As a result, how to combine the expanding of opening with the optimization of industrial structure has become a focus of attention by economists and national policy makers.This thesis intends to study the optimizing effect of international direct investment to our industrial structure and how to maximize this effect. The principle of it is to research a problem clearly from one perspective, so it only analyzes the effect of FDI to our industrial structure optimization, but not expands to all factors that improve the optimization of our industrial structure. The paper tries to research the thesis through a complete theory system and it uses many analytical methods such as concrete evidence, comparing, and criterion, etc. First, the thesis puts forward the model of optimizing the industrial structure through utilizing foreign direct investment after defining the concept of industrial structure, optimization of industrial structure, and international direct investment, etc, so as to build up the relation between foreign direct investment and industrial structure optimization of host countries. Second, it analyzes how and how much the FDI affects our industrial structure. Last, it studies the problems during the period of attracting FDI and brings forward proper strategies.The differences between this paper with others are as follows: First, it studies systematically the optimizing mechanism of FDI to the industrial structure of our country, including theoretic and quantitative analysis. Second, it applies the "Flying Geese Pattern" theory to our country according to the characters of our country, and advances the strategy of "Initiative FDI attraction", which is to optimize our industrial structure through combining the domestic investment and FDI, and to put FDI into the system of the industrial structure optimization of our country.
