Professor Li Wenjin Acupuncture Treatment Of Migraine Clinical Observation

Purpose:Observing the clinical effect in treating Migraine with acupuncture.Material and method:60 patients who were in keeping with the diagnostic criteria were randomly divided into two groups:The treatment group has 30 cases and the control group has 30 cases. The treatment group was in acupuncture.Treatment methods were calming the liver and suppressing yang,stoping endogenous wind and alleviating pain.Main points: Fengchi(风池),Shuaigu(率谷),Baihui(百会); Distribution Points:Taixi(太溪),Taichong(太冲). If accompanied by nausea,vomiting chosen Neiguan(内关). The control group used Zhengtianwan(正天丸) which was Chinese patent drug. 6 grams each time, Once-daily with oral.Both groups had 15 days for a therapeutic course.After two therapeutic course:observing two groups'treatment effect; compare the Number of headaches,Degree of headaches,Headache duration and Accompany symptoms with before and after treatment; assess clinical curative effect.Results:1. The total effective rates in treatment group and control group were 96.7% and 76.7% respectively. Two groups have statistically significant differences (P<0.05).The treatment effects in Treatment Group was better than that in Control Group.2. The Number of headaches,Degree of headaches,Headache duration and Accompany symptoms with two groups before treatment has no statistically significant differences. (P>0.05).Before and after treatment of treatment group has statistically significant differences (P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture treatment of migraine has good clinical curative effect. Acupuncture treatment of migraine can relieve headaches, shorten the time, reduce headache, and relieve headaches with headache symptom.
