Acupuncture Multiple Stress Induced In Rats With Chronic Fatigue Hpo Axis In Rats

Purpose:To study the changes of Gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH), Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), Luteinizing hormone (LH) hormone levels in rat models with chronic fatigue syudrome(CFS) in duced by mitiple stress and to explore the effect of acupuncture on regulation of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis hormone.Material and method:Multi-facyors (bounding +swimming+ circadian reversed+ empty stimulation) were used to establish rat models of CFS.Then the general state of the model rats were observed. Through the Morris water maze test, exhaustive swimming tset, sugar consumption behavioral indicators of experimental model were detected.By using optical microscopy the estrous cycles of the rats were observed.The acupuncture group received daily acupuncture at Zusanli, Taichong, Baihui for intervention treatment.The serum LH levels and FSH levels were detected by radioimmunoassay, Elisa hypothalamic GnRH content were determined by ELISA and paraffin sections of rat ovary were examined by optical microscopy.Results:Experimental study found that CFS rats caused by multiple factors in the general situation and the behavioral tests revealed that in physical fatigue, learning and memory ability, mental and emotional aspects of change,they were closer to the performance of human chronic fatigue syndrome.Acupuncture can significantly improve the models in body weight,body temperature,alleviate physical fatigue, increase learning and memory, improve mood,regulate the estrous cycle. Acupuncture can also raise GnRH, FSH, LH levels, improve the symptoms caused by the HPO axis hormone disorder,and regulate physiological of function ovarian. Conclusions:1. The changes of behavior of the model rats with CFS induced by multiple stress are similar to the clinical manifestations of human CFS.So the animal model can be used for CFS study.2. Acupuncture can improve chronic fatigue effectively, regulate the estrous cycles of rats,and increase GnRH, FSH,LH levels.3. Acupuncture can effectively improve the inhibited state of HPO axis for CFS rats, and regulate the physiological function of HPO axis.
