Objective:To analyze the existing IGT research, and use it as a basis for the clinical trial, which is formulated to study the effect of integrated TCM therapy pilot program on the IGT conversion rate (reversal of normal blood sugar, into type 2 diabetes and stable in the IGT stage). This trial is used to explore and assess the edge effect of the treatment in the field of diabetes prevention.Object:Depend on the community screening of diabetes in Beijing "51510" Project, we send the exposed IGT patients as the main target groups into the OGTT test. If they still meet diagnostic criteria for entry, they will be into a import of one month. After one month, if they still meet the diagnostic criteria, they will be agreed to income the trial. Methods:In this clinical trial we choose the method of multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled. Treatment group received general lifestyle plus proprietary and Chinese medicine (Tianqijiangtang Capsules).Control group received general lifestyle intervention plus placebo. A course of treatment is 3 months.every 3 months later we detect the FBG, OGTT 2 hour plasma glucose, simultaneously TCM symptoms and physical examination, safety index check is detected every 6 months. In the original case report forms required to complete data entry and verification, press the number of the order on file. We choose the full analysis of data sets, and use SPSS13.0 statistics to analyze data.Results:103 cases has been completed., with 53 cases in treatment group, and 50 case in control group. The two groups have the same information on the baseline. After at least 12 months, the 2-hour postprandial blood glucose is significantly lower than before intervention in the treatment group(P= 0.000), but not in the other group.15 cases of patients with IGT has changed to T2DM in the treatment group.24 cases of patients with IGT has changed to T2DM in the control group. It is different between the two groups (P =0.039).So the Traditional comprehensive interventions can reduce the diabetes risk to 59%in patients with IGT,Conclusion:1. Traditional comprehensive intervention can significantly reduce the 2-hour postprandial blood glucose in patients with IGT, and improve their postprandial blood glucose toxicity.2. Traditional comprehensive interventions can reduce the diabetes risk to 59%in patients with IGT, and effectively prevent occurrence of T2DM. |
