Objective: To evaluate the curative effect of Modified Yupingfeng recipe to Spleen Deficiency with Food Damage of Recurrent Respiratory Tact Infection (RRTI) of children .To explore validity and the action mechanism of Modified Yupingfeng recipe from clinical.Method: 1. The 40 children suffering from Spleen Deficiency with Food Damage of Recurrent Respiratory Tract Infection (RRTI) were randomly divided into the Treatment Group (treated by Modified Yupingfeng recipe) and the Blank Control Group.2. After recovered from Respiratory Tract Infection at least one week, children in the treatment group were given a Modified Yupingfeng recipe daily, a course of a month. The observation period is two months after treatment. 3. To compare the two groups' total effective rate and symptoms before and after treatment.Result: The markedly effective case was 5, effective case was 13, invalid case was 2 and the total effective rate was 90% in the Treatment Group. The markedly effective case was 0, effective case was 7, invalid case was 13, and total effective rate was 35% in the Blank Control Group. It had significant difference between two groups (P<0. 05). In the Treatment Group , there are 8 cases of hyperidrosis, 5 cases of badtemper, 12 cases of constipatation before the treatment,and then 3 cases of hyperidrosis, 2 cases of badtemper,3 cases of constipatation after the treatment. It shows that these symptoms are improved. Conclusion: Modified Yupingfeng recipe has a good curative effect on Spleen Qi Deficiency with Food Damage of Recurrent Respiratory Tact Infection (RRTI) of children .Modified Yupingfeng recipe also has obviously improved symptoms of hyperidrosis, badtemper and constipatation.
