| Astragalua Membranaceus Bge. ( Fisch ) var. mongholicus (Bge.) Hsiao, one of species of Astragalua, which belongs to Family Leguminosae, is a perennial herb growing in the northeast, northwest and southwest of China. The root of A. mongholicus, known as Huangqi in China is the most important tonic in the Traditional Chinese Medicine, and to promote the discharge of pus and the growth of new tissue .It has long been used as an anti-perspirant, adiuetic, and it has been recorded in many Chinese Herb books. However the studies on the other chemical constituents have seldom been reported before. The author of the paper studys the other chemical constituents of A.mongholicus.From the roots of Astragalua Membranaceus, fifteen compounds were isolated through solvent and chromatography methods, fourteen structures of these compounds were identified, which include isoflavonoids and others. One compound is new, it is a isoflavone glycoside. Two compounds were isolated from Astragalus for the first time. |
