| Objective: to verify validity and mechanism of action of "Yang Yan Qing E Pill(YYQEP)" by means of clinical observation. Accordingly to try to comprehend pharmacologic action of "YYQEP" which threat chloasma. To explain etiopathogenisis, clinical situation of chloasma and to provide evidence of unique therapeutic effect of "YYQEP".Method: patients of insufficiency of kidney-YANG were fractionated to treatment group (YYQEP) and control group (Gui Fu Di Huang Pill ),all patients who were obersered are 110. treatment group has 55 , the one control group has 55 .Two patients of treatment group have not accepted treatment continued for espectical cause . And three patients of control group were treatment discontinued during course of treatment.There are 53 persons who are women in treatment group.their years of age is from 18 to 55 years old.mean age is 32.4.morbility time is from 3 months to 18 years.Averzge moubility time is 2.35years .Control Group is composed with 52 women patients.whose years of age is from 20-54.Mean age is 34.2.Their morbility time is from 4 months to 18 years .average moubility time is 2.90 years.Their method of medication are oral administration and TID ,every quantity is 6g.Course of treatment is 12 weeks.Observation index will be accurately recorded in clinical observation table.There has one time of observation every week during 1 to 4 weeks.From 4 to 8 weeks their will be observed one time every two weeks.After treatment of 12 weeks ,their will be observed one time.experimental method :To determin activity of SOD and MDA of chloasma pains before and after treatment by meansof xanthine oxidase method and thio- barye - acid method ; to determin level of sex hormone of chloasma pains before and after treatment by radio-immunity and microelement level of pains before and after treatment by method of chemical reaction.Then to compare and analyze data .Method to summarize numerical data is Student's t-test of significance. Result: activity of SOD of chloasma pains is predomination lower than normal control group before treatment. After treatment,activity of SOD of chloasma pains is obviously increased. Activity of MDA of chloasma pains venous blood is predomination higher than normal contro group . After treatment,activity of MDA of chloasma pains VB is obviously cut down .Before treatment ,level of E2 ,Cu for chloasma pains is predomination higher than normal contro group and which is obviously reduced.However level of Fe, Zn for chloasma pains is lower than normal contro 1 group before threatment ,and after threatment whict is riseing.To compare with data of before threatment and after threatment of threantment groups and control groups through t-test, activity of SOD and MDA of chloasma pains VB ,and E2 ,Cu, Fe, Zn is significant deviation for threatment and control groups.
