According to statistics, at present there are sixty ten thousands new lungcancer patients every year all over the world.Recent 20 years, the lung cancerincidence of our country increases by 11% every year.It is estimated until 2025that our country will have 100 ten thousands lung cancer patients that will dieof lung cancer.About 80 percent lung cancer patients are NSCLC patients.Thechemotherapy is the therapy most in use at present, but it's effect rate stillisn't high, specially chemotherapeutic medicines are easy to harm normal tissuesand organ function of human body, and lead to damage of patients'heart, liver, kidney and so on,even exhaustion of those organs.A great deal of clinical andlaboratory researchs show the Chinese herbs can effectively improve the clinicalsyndromes during chemotherapy period , enhance chemotherapy effect, minimizethe toxic and side effects of chemotherapy. The herbs of benefiting Qi andnourishing Yin are often used. But we have not found the clinical reports aboutMai Men Dong Decoction or adding anddecreasing Mai Men Dong Decoction cooperatingchemotherapy. The objectives of the trial :It is to check the group of adding anddecreasingMai Men Dong Decoction cooperating chemotherapy(the therapy group) against thegroups of chemotherapy(the control group) in the aspects of tumour impersonalityeffects, the quality of life (including KPS and weight),the toxic and side effectsof chemotherapy and changing syndroms of TCM.It is to evaluate the clinicalcurative effect of adding and decreasing Mai Men Dong Decoction treatingdeficiency of Qi and Yin afternoon lung cancer patients . Methods:There are forty non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)patients accordingwith standards. The therapy group is 20 cases,10 cases coming from Dongfanghospital of Beijing University of the chinese Medicine, 10 cases coming fromthe forth People's hospital of Anshan(The two hospitals'Rx and gaineding datasare the same, that show index of before and after curing no statisticaldifference. The two hospitals'patients can regard as the same origin integerto compare with the control group). The control group is also 20 cases, all comingfrom the forth People's hospital of Anshan. The therapy group are given two periodschemotherapy, chemotherapy schemeat is NP,at the same time given adding anddecreasing Mai Men Dong Decoction (Maidong10g,Banxia10g, Dangshen10g ,Shenghuangqi20g,Beishashen15g ,Baizhu10g, Fuling10g,Dazao3 entries,Zhigancao6g)from the daybefore chemotherapy to the end of chemotherapy. The control group are also giventwo periods chemotherapy, chemotherapy schemeat is NP,too. We record tumourimpersonality effects, the quality of life(including KPS and weight),thesyndroms integral of TCM symptom changing, the degree of reaction ofchemotherapy.I use Spss10.0 software to Stat. Results:⑴Comparison of catabatic and steady rate of both groupsshow significant statistical difference(P<0.05).⑵Comparison of thequality of life(QOL)of two group show significant statistical difference(P<0.05).QOL of the therapy group is better than the control group.⑶Comparison of toxic and side effects of two groups show significantstatistical difference(P<0.05). The therapy group has advantage overthe control group in the aspect of toxic and side effects.⑷Comparisonof TCM syndromes of two group show significant statistical difference(P<0.05). The therapy group is better than the control group in thisaspect. Conclusion:The chemotherapy combining with the adding and decreasingMai Men Dong Decoction has a siginificant efficancy in obtaining a highertumor control rate, making QOL better, reducing toxic and side effectsand improving clinical syndroms.
