Clinical Observation On Baofei Medicinal Broth Cooperating Chemotherapy In The Treatment Of Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

Object:Our study is a clinical study on treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer by bao fei tang therapymethod with Chemotherapy. To assess the effect and investigate the mechanism of bao fei tang therapymethod combined with chemotherapy in treating advanced NSCLC.Methods:There are fifty five non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) patients according with standards,coming from the first hospital of traditional Chinese medicine university of guangzhou province.The patients were divided into two groups,The therapy group is 30 cases,The control group is 30 cases.The therapy group is given three periods chemotherapy, chemotherapy scheme is GP,at the same time givenbaofeitangdecoction (Taizishenl5g,Huangqi30g,Baizhu15g,maidong20g,Fabanxia10g, Zhebeimu15g,Sanqi7g,Fuling15g,banzhilian20g,Chenpi10g,Quangualou 20g,shancigu6g,Gancao6g),from the day before chemotherapy to the end of three chemotherapy.The control group are also given three periods chemotherapy,chemotherapy scheme is GP,too.We record tumour impersonality effects,the clinical syndromes changing,the quality of life (including KPS and weight),the degree of reaction of chemotherapy,the tumor mark and immune parameters.Results:1,Comparison of catabatic and steady rate of both groups show no significant statistical difference(P>0.05).2,Comparison of the quality of life(QOL ) of two groups show significant statistical difference(P< 0.05 ).QOL of the therapy group is better than the control group.3,Comparison of clinical syndromes of two group show significant statistical difference(P<0.05).The therapy group is better than the control group in this aspect.4,Comparison of toxic and side effects of two groups show significant statistical difference(P<0.05).The therapy group has advantage over the control group in the aspect of toxic and side effects.5,Comparison of immune parameters(CD₃⁺,CD₄⁺,CD₄⁺/CD₄⁺,NK) are all significantly improved in the treated group,better than in the control one.Conclusion:The chemotherapy combining with baofei tang has a siginificant efficency in making QOL better,reducing toxic and side effects, improving clinical syndromes and immunologic function.
