Objective: To discuss the relationship of molecule biology between spleen Qideficiency syndrome and senilityMethods: The animal model of spleen Qi deficiency syndrome and senility wasestablished in composite factors. Animal experiments with enzyme kinetics andPCR(polymerase chain reaction) technique were conducted.Result: The respiratory chain complexes activities in cardiac muscles of ratswith spleen Qi deficiency syndrome are less than that of aging normal groupand youth normal group. The deficiency of mitochondrial DNA in cardiacmuscles of rats with spleen Qi deficiency syndrome is more than that of agingnormal group and youth normal group.The nourishing Qi group have aimprovement in the respiratory chain complexes activities and the deficiencyof mitochondrial DNA in cardiac muscles of rats.Conclusion: Spleen Qi deficiency syndrome and senility probably have arelationship with the change of respiratory chain complexes and mitochondrialDNA of cardiac muscle...
