Clinical Observation Of Lipid Tongmai Particle Treatment Of Hyperlipidemia Phlegm And Blood Stasis

The traditional Chinese medical prescription "Tiaozhi Tongmai Granules"(TTG)has good treatment response at treating hyperlipidemia,which was proved in the pastinvestigation.TTG can decrease total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low densitylipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C),and it can increase high density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-C),etc.The objectives of the trial are to evaluate the efficacy of TTGtreating hyperlipidemia,and to observe the influence of TTG on vascularendothelium,hemorheology,haemostatic activity and fibrinolytic activity.So that we canmake further verifying the efficacy of the Chinese medical method of invigorating Qi topromote blood circulation and dissipating phlegm turbility in treating hyperlipidemia. A 4-week,randomized single blind clinic trial was made,in which 40 patients withhyperlipidemia were divided into 2 groups randomly,with 20 patients in the treatedgroup and 20 patients in the controlled group.The former took the TTG orally threetimes per day with 24g each time.The latter were given orally XuezhikangCapsule(XC),0.8g every time ,two times per day.Thereafter the indexes about serumlipid, hemorheology,haemostatic activity,fibrinolytic activity and vascular endothelialfunctions were observed at baseline and terminal points.The indexs above wereanalysed trough SPSS10.0. TTG showed efficacy to decrease total cholesterol(TC),apolipoproteinB(APOB),the index of atherosclerosis(AI)(P<0.01) very significantly,and to decrease bloodtriglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C) and lipoprotein(a)(Lp(a))(P<0.05).The total efficiency to regulate blood lipid is 80%.In this respect it'slipid-regulating effect can be compared with that of XC(The total lipid-regulating effectof XC is 70%).But the efficacy of TTG to decrease TG,LDL-C,and to reduceTXB2/6-Keto-PGF1a,the index of RBC's most conglomeration and D-dimer has anadvantage over that of XC(P<0.05).During treating,there is no side effect to the patients'health in the treated group,and only one patient was diarrhea after taking XC in thecontrolled group.But the symptom dispeared after stopping taking XC. The conclusion is reached that TTG has very significant efficacy in reducing TC,AI and APOB,and has a significant effect in reducing Lp(a),TG and LDL-C.TTG has asimilar total effect as XC in regulating blood lipid.It can also improve the vascularendothelial functions,blood viscidity,haemostatic activity and fibrinolytic activity.Theefficacy of TTG to reduce Lp(a),TG,LDL-C,and to improve the syndrome of phlegmturbility and blood stasis has an advantage over that of XC.TTG has good safty duringtreating hyperlipidemia.So we can say the Chinese medical method of invigorating Qi topromote blood circulation and dissipating phlegm turbility is one effective principle oftreating hyperlipidemia.
