Clinical study of the therapeutic effect of Zhi Shui Qing Gan Run Chang Fang on constipation-irritable bowel syndrome[Objective]To observe the therapeutic effect of Zhi Shui Qing Gan Run Chuang Fang on constipation-irritable bowel syndrome [Methods] Methods of literature and clinical research were used. Literature research included summarizing the understanding of TCM about etiology, pathogenesis and treatment method of constipation-irritable bowel syndrome. This paper sums up the present research situation of modern medical science about the etiology and pathogenesis of C-IBS, which is the foundation of clinical research of this project. 62 cases of C-IBS patients were divided into two groups randomly . 32 cases were treated with Zhi Shui Qing Gan Run Chang Fang(the treatment group). 30 cases were treated with GASMOTIN (the control group). The whole duration of treatment was 4 weeks. [Results] Clinical results indicated that the total effective rate of the treatment group was 93. 75% and that of the control group was 33. 33%. The effective rate of single symptom of constipation, abdominal ache , abdominal bloating of the treatment group was 87.5%, 85.7%, 79. 1% respectively. The effective rate of single symptom of constipation, abdominal ache, abdominal bloating of the control group was 26. 7%, 7. 1%, 13. 0% respectively. The therapeutic effect of the treatment group was superior to the control group. There was,significant difference between the above-mentioned two groups(p<0. 01) .[Conclusion]The therapeutic effective rate of Zhi Shui Qing Gan Run Chang Fang is greater than GASMOTIN among C-IBS patients . It showed that application with traditional Chinese medicine is practicable.
