Object i ye: To observe the effect of Sinusitis Oral liquid to acute suppurative sinusitis (ARS) of rabbits, and to explore its mechanism to the nasal musociliary transporting system.Method: Injectina Staphylococus aurous into the maxillary sinuses of rabbits induced experimental ARS models. A week later, high and low dosage of Sinusitis Oral liquid was irrigated to the stomachs. Penicillin V ~vas used for the positive medicine. After a weks therapy, the count of white blood cells, mucociliary transporting time, pH of nasal secretoxy juice, calcium and magnicium content of the sinus mucosa were tested. Light microscope and scanning electricon microscope were observed to show changes of the sinus mucosa.Resu I ts: Experimental ARS rabbits are apparently abnormol in following parameters: pH of nasal secretory juice, nasal mucociliary transporting time, calcium and magnieium content of the maxillary sinus mucosa. Moreovei; light microscopic view and scanning electricon microscopic view of the sinus mucosa manifest typical pathological changes of ARS. Sinusitis Oral liquid improved above facts apparently. Additionly, its mucociliary transporting time, calcium and magnicium content of the maxillary mucosa, pH of secrete nasal juice are beeter than Group GV.Cone i us i on: Low dasage of Sinusitis Oral liquid can modulate abnormal mucociliary system of ARS rabbits through different ways and links. This research has provided experimental basis for the effect of Sinusitis Oral liquid.
