Yangcheng County, Shanxi Province, Residents In Two Weeks Of Illness Impact Factor Analysis

PurposeIn recent years, with the continuous reform and development of the medical health service, the requirement and using of our country resident health service have undergone tremendous changes. The research of residents'health service demand and its influencing factors becomes a important topic. Two-week prevalence rate is an important index of health service demand of residents, but many scholars have different opinions about the indexes for the residents two weeks prevalence and influencing factors in certain research. By using logistic regression method, this topic analyses Shanxi YangCheng residents two weeks sick status and its influencing factors to know local residents health condition and grasp the residents health service demand. So the local authorities couldcontrol health service supply and demand effectively. In addition, the research can provide the reference for the local health development planning.Data sources and methodsMaterials are from Shanxi YangCheng 2008 fourth national health services survey of family health inquiry. The survey coversthe total 1814 residents.including 5 towns,10 administrative villages, and more than 600 households,. The investigative contents include family general things,the health of family members,two weeks ill injury,hospitalization and the health of rural migrant workers, and 15-49 years old married women of child-bearing age,children under the age of five and 60 years or the elderly and other special groups.By selecting twenty survey factors,for example residents of gender,age,marital status,education,occupation,lifestyleas and so on,as sociation variables, and the residents two weeks prealence as dependent variable,this research uses single factor analysis with chi-square and multivariate analysis with logistic regression separately.ResultsShanxi YangCheng residents two weeks prevalence rate is 14.388% and below the national rate 18.9%, and the women's is higher than the men's. The top five in two weeks sicken are circulatory system, respiratory system, the digestive system, motor systems and tumour. Two-week prealence respectively are 5.82%,2.27%,1.88%,1.72%and 0.44%. The influence factors of two weeks ill are resident's marital status,cultural degree,family income,the poverty and other social factors. Hypertension sicken, paying attention to the healthy check-up are influencing factors of two weeks ill health service factor, and the OR are 5.328 and 1.799 times. And the differences,such as occupation, medical insurance type, drinking, drinking water, housing type, whether attending the new rural cooperative medical treatment, exercise and so on, have not yet been found have influence.on two weeks prealence.ConclusionIn Shanxi YangCheng family health inquiry survey, two-week prevalence rate is 14.388%and below the national prealence of diseased level. Two weeks sick factors is not only related with family year income and other social factors, but also healthy check-up and other healthcare services.
