ObjectiveThis article, was based upon the survey proceeded by Fifth National Health Services for Henan province in 2013, which investigated and studied the current health service needs for urban and rural residents of the province. To compare and contrast the data and score generated from the Fourth Survey, it will further analyze influencing factors of two-week prevalence for Henan residents. It will provide a scientific basis to evaluate the implementation effect of medical reform thereof in regards to rationally allocating health resources as well as improving medical insurance system; and in addition, it will.discuss a proposal about establishing an advanced health service system and relevant efficient interventional measures thereinafter.MethodsA study was conducted in 18 municipalities in Henan province as targeted area, to evaluate domestic health service needs in regards to two-week prevalence comparing with data analysis generated in foreign countries. The sample and population was compared and selected through applying multi-stage and cluster random sampling method. Based upon the Fifth Survey as cited resource hereof, a set of trained health care investigators will interview the households from the sample and record the targeted health condition of those families as required. The factors to be inquired include, but not limit to, social demographic characteristics of the urban and rural residents and their health conditions in regards to two-week prevalence. A database was set up corresponded through "Data-Entry System of The Fifth National Health Services Survey". The analysis and study hereof, will be based upon the statistic description, Chi-square test evaluation and unbiased gradual Logistic Regression generated by SPSS21.0, as the leading and prominent data analysis software.ResultsBased upon the review of Fifth Health Services Survey in Henan, the two-week prevalence rate is 22.2%, in which, urban (28.3%) is higher than rural (16.5%) with a score of (?2=677.479, P<0.05); besides, male (20.4%) is lower than female (24.0%) with a score of (?2=65.167, P<0.05); the fourth survey reflected a rate of 21.3%, which is lower than the fifth result with a score of (?2=6.733, P<0.05). The cut-out point for the age of Henan residents regarding to two-week prevalence is 25, which presents a "?" distribution. Both urban and rural residents have a higher rate for people who are 65 years old or elder, in which, urban rate is 74.3% and rural rate is 40.2%; the lowest rate of the residents is people who are younger with age between 15 to 24, in which, urban rate is 2.1% and rural rate is 3.3%; for the kids between 0 to 4, the urban rate is 7.4% and rural rate is 10.2%. Comparing with the rate and result of the fourth survey, this fifth survey reflected a decreasing rate for younger residents and an increasing trend for senior and/or elder residents. This fifth survey represented a disease spectrum, illustrating the most popular disease in an order hereof provided: Hypertensive Disease (44.0%), Diabetes Mellitus (12.4%), URI Upper Respiratory Infection (11.8%), Intervertebral Disc Disease (2.9%), Cerebrovascular Disease (2.8%) and Acute and Chronic Gastroenteritis (2.8%). The logistic regression indicated several elements and factors impacting people's health which include, but not limit to, geographic region, age, body mass index, marital status, education, chronic disease correspondent, fact of medical exams performed within last 12 months and medical insurance status. The individuals with higher body mass index, less education, chronic disease, medical exams experiences and medical insurance and divorcers/widowhood are more likely to suffer the relevant disease.ConclusionThe two-week prevalence rate of Henan province has an indication of increasing trend, in which the urban rate rises and the rural rate drops; the urban rate is higher than rural rate and accordingly, female is higher than male. Seniors, obesities, widowhoods, illiterates and patients with chronic diseases are more likely to be served with interventional measures to reduce two-week prevalence rate, for a better and improved standard of health care. It must be appreciated that prevention of oncoming Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus and URI Upper Respiratory Infection are very important for the furtherance of health care condition improvement.
