IT enterprises have promoted much development in many fields, such as economic, social, and cultural life, which have become the key means to foster the human cultural progress. So the characteristic of IT determines that the talents are important for IT enterprise. The IT talents are the key human capital in enterprises, especially, the key technicians who control the core technology, so how to motivate them in order to display their potential is very crucial.Career management theory is one of important contents in modern human resources management theories. Effective implementation of career management, will not only help individual achieve their career goals, the implementation is also beneficial to the successful realization of the organization goals. Career management will introduce concepts to XX company is a new human resources management concept result from human resources management.The thesis has been produced through the combination of theory and Practice, and based on the relative articles and material. Additionally, a case study was used to support the conclusion.The thesis firstly introduces the background of the thesis, and the significance and the purpose of the study. Then the thesis summarized relevant theories which have important instructional meaning on human resource management of the IT enterprises, for example, The Odore W. Sehultz's capital theory, John Holland's occupational orientation theory and Edgar Shein's career anchor theory etc. After that, as a case study, the thesis introduce the career management practice in IBM. Following that, the thesis describes and analyzes the XX company career management case. Eventually, based on the summary and analysis, how to set up career management system by XX Company, the important problems and their Countermeasures which deserve the attention in the career management are all suggested. The thesis analyzed and demonstrated career development and management system from two respects of theory and practice, providing reference to the other IT enterprises.
