With the rapid development of telecommunication industry these years, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology(MIIT), the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance jointly took large scale restructuring actions targeting the telecommunication industry. On Jan 7th,2009, the MIIT finally issued the licenses for third generation (3G) mobile networks to three telephone operators, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom.By analyzing its industry chain, we can master the trend of the current situation of 3G industry. Generally, the 3G industry chain is much more complex than the 2G industry chain. This is due to the complication of network technology, the diversification of the industry, and the individuating demands of customers. Only if the relationship between upriver and downstream of the 3G industry gets straightened out, the whole industry could continue to develop. Therefore, this thesis believes that the key for 3G industry, especially its data service, to get success is to establish a mature and stable industry chain and get benefits from the positive circulation. Furthermore, there is a large number of participants on the 3G industry chain, and the competition among them are extremely intense. For one to succeed, this thesis argues that competition among them are extremely intense. For one to succeed, this thesis argues that it must make correct market orientation, and frame reasonable commercial mode based on the analysis of the current development situation of the industry chain.Based on the analysis of Chinese 3G industry chain and core competitivenesss concept and correlations, my paper focus on how to build up the core competitiveness after the three Chinese network companies have been shuffled. Enterprise can take over the market by using output strategy, price strategy and the Product Differentiation strategy. But as the maturity of the market, if the enterprise wants to keep a long time competitive advantage, it should excavate its own core value, in order to develop the core competitiveness which can not be copy by other enterprises.
