Objective:To evaluate the value of advanced vascular analysis with multislice spiral CT angiography (MSCTA) in diagnosis of Cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type.Methods:128 patients with clinically suspected Cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type received MSCTA, Images were postprocessed by use of Advanced vessel analysis (AVA),maximum intensity projection(MIP) and volume rendering(VR), Comparison of AVA with VR,MIP in detecting Cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type. Statistical significance was determined usingχ2 test. Results:AVA,MIP,VR were performed in 128 patients with clinically suspected Cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type, There was no significant difference in the image quality of conventional CTA and AVA,MIP,VR;There were no image ofⅤlevel. AVA reconstructed image had better quality, There are 97 case who have image ofⅠlevel , accounting for 75.8%,there are 84 case with MIP (65.6%), 83 cases (64.8%) with VR; Aspects of a disease classification: AVA and VR display on the proliferation of Luschka joint comparison, X2 = 7.69> X20.05,1, p <0.05; AVA and VR display on the comparison of narrow transverse foramen, X2 = 1.13 < X20.05,1,p> 0.05; AVA and VR display on the comparison of showed calcification VA, X2 = 9.3> X20.05,1, p <0.05; AVA and VR display relatively narrow on the VA,X2 = 2.08 < X20.05,1,p> 0.05; AVA and VR display on the comparison of VA hypoplasia , X2 = 2.08 < X20.05,1,p> 0.05; AVA and the MIP showed calcification on the comparison of VA , X2 = 4.9> X20.05,1,p <0.05; AVA and MIP display variation on the VA, X2 = 0.25 < X20.05,1,p> 0.05; AVA and MIP display on the comparison of VA stenosis, X2 = 2.22 < X20.05,1,p> 0.05; AVA and MIP display on the comparison of VA hypoplasia, X2 = 1.13 < X20.05,1,p> 0.05.Conclusion: AVA and VR display on the proliferation of Luschka joint comparison ,AVA and VR display on the comparison of showed calcification VA,AVA and the MIP showed calcification on the comparison of VA,p<0.05, MSCTA advanced vascular analysis(AVA )technology has its unique advantages with more convenient, correct and less invasive measure for diagnosing cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type.
