Epidemiological Investigation To High Risk Aids Women In Reception Station In Urumqi

Objective To understand the HIV infect situation and high-risk behavior of high risk AIDS women in reception station in Urumqi to provide the basis for carry out AIDS preventic interventions in high risk AIDS women in Urumqi. Methods Complete the HIV serological testing and behavioral questionnaires investigation to 462 high risk women in a reception station in Urumqi, collect and analyze the datas. Results Among the 462 high-risk women, sex workers and drug users accounted for 83.77% and 16.23% respectively. HIV infection rate in high-risk groups was 2.16%(10/462). HIV infection rate of sex workers and drug users were 1.29%(5/387) and 6.67%(5/75) respectively. According to the AIDS basic knowledge investigation among high-risk groups, the recovery of the questionnaire was 100%, the efficient of the questionnaire was99.57%, and the average awareness rate was 87.01%. Among them, the average awareness rate of sex workers and drug users were 87.76% and 83.00% respectively. In the nearest sex behavior with business sexual partner and a fixed-sexual partner of 385 sex workers, condom use rates were 92.99% and 45.89% respectively; The sex behavior with business sexual partner and a fixed-sexual partner in the recent month, the proportion of condom use were 84.42% and 24.24% respectively. The junior high school and below education in sex workers, the sex behavior with business sexual partner and a fixed-sexual partner in the recent month, the proportion of condom use were 74.83% and 20.56% respectively. The Han nationality sex workers, the sex behavior with business sexual partner and a fixed-sexual partner in the recent month, the proportion of condom use were 83.49% and 23.83% respectively. The Uighur sex workers, the sex behavior with business sexual partner and a fixed-sexual partner in the recent month, the proportion of condom use were 85.71% and 25.00% respectively. Among the 75 drug users, the proportion of injecting drug use and mouth use were 25.33% and 74.67% respectively. In the recent 3 months, injecting drug users and others the proportion of never, sometimes, every time shared needles between injecting drug users and others were 52.63% and 47.37% respectively. Conclusion In comparison with other regions in China, Urumqi high-risk women in reception station had a higher HIV infection rates and had a higher AIDS basic knowledge rate, but the knowledge was not fully known. High-risk sexual behavior of women in business each time a higher proportion of condom use, but with regular sexual partners to use condoms when having sex with a lower proportion of each.
