Objective:To observe the effect of stimulate the meridian sinew nodal point on treating low moderate carpal tunnel syndrome with warm-needle acupunctureMethods:The 50 cases of carpal tunnel syndrome were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The 25 cases of treatment group were given acupuncture the meridian sinew nodal point and warm-needle acupuncture. The 25 cases of control group were given traditional acupuncture therapy. The scores of the two groups which were about Wrist and fingers movement, pain and numb before and after treatment were through Levine motor function self-rating questionnaire and the rate of motor conduction velocity (MCV) of median nerves examine, to observe the effect of the treatment scheme. Both group combined wrist exercises. Results:The scores of the two groups about the Levine motor function self-rating questionnaire and the rate of motor conduction velocity (MCV) of median nerves examine on pain and numb is no significant difference before the treatment, P>0.05.The two groups both decrease the Levine motor function self-rating questionnaire scores, and both improved the MCV of median nerves examine. P< 0.05.Therefore,the two therapeutic methods can both ameliorate the clinical symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome, but the therapy group obviously have an advantage to the control group. Conclusions:It can effectively ameliorate Wrist and fingers motor function, release pain and numb through warm-needle acupuncture based on meridian sinew therapy.Thereby it can improve the patient's quality of life, regain the capacity for work, return to society.
