Applied Research, New Wooden Structure In The Flat To Pitched

From the 1970s to the 1990s,because the designers could not clearly recognize the waterproof materials, the waterproof materials do not function after being used and construction team did not do well according to the construction requirements, parts of top building floors can leak; the heat insulation of flat roof does not work well, it is a common phenomenon that dwellers of top floor feel warmer in summer and feel colder in winter; many flat roofs are quite dirty and awful due to bad administration. With the life conditions improving, many dwellers of the top roofs want to change this. In these years, project of changing flat roof to sloping roof takes effect, this project develops from sloping roof to comprehensive rebuilding and from getting rid of problem of warmth proof to changing the conditions and improving city levels. At present, the steel concrete structure and light steel structure are mainly used in the project of changing flat roof to sloping roof. these heavy structures can effect in the "down"phenomenon of the base; noise during the work is quite large, effecting in normal life of dwellers; the waste is also very much, effecting in city conditions. But modern wood construction does not have these shortcomings; the work cycle is shorter because parts of members of modern wood construction can be done in factories. At present, the research on modern wood constructions just begins, but modern wood construction has being used for decades of years in North America. This paper focus on research on the roof system of modern wood constructions, introducing the mature roof system of light wood construction, aiming to popularize the roof system of light wood construction in the project of changing flat roof to sloping roof. This paper includes: the contrast and use about main materials, the structure designing and the mechanical designing about the roof of light wood construction.
