Theory and practice have proven that chemical flooding can improve oil recovery in water-flooding oil reservoir dramatically , and polymer/surfactant flooding gradually became a new emphases of research on chemical flooding technologies. Then, the character of polymer/surfactant system, namely the reaction of polymer and surfactant became one of me technological keys of polymer/surfactant compound flooding technologies.In the paper, we compounded HAWP and SDBS, compared with HPAM, and researched the character of viscidity and interfacial tension in polymer/surfactant compound system to learn the law about reaction of polymer and surfactant in liquid, and researched the methods about determination of concentration of polymer and surfactant to find some new and simple methods, and researched the laws of static adsorption of polymer and surfactant on the sand to learn reaction of polymer and surfactant on the interface of solid and liquid.Research has proven that AP-P4/SDBS compound system, compared with HPAM/SDBS compound system, have higher viscidity and better temperature and salinity tolerance and better interfacial activity. Polymer and surfactant are adsorbed on the sand competitively and AP-P4 is easier in reducing the adsorption of SDBS than HPAM.In addition, tri-wavelength ultraviolet spectrometry has been used innovatively in determination of surfactant concentration in polymer/surfactant compound solutions, and the procedure of automatic tri-wavelength selection and of concentration calculation made the determination more easily and well.
