Polyester wastewater is difficult to treat because of complex pollutants composition , high-concentration COD and poor biodegradability. Fujian Jin Lun High-fiber Co., Ltd. decomposed macromolecular organic compounds to small-molecule organic compounds by UASB technology ,followed by multi-step contact oxidation and biological carbon pool, then effluent can reach <Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard> (GB 8978 - 1996) and meet the requirement of reclaimed water reuse.High-concentration polyester wastewater (CODCr≈5000mg/L)caused by Fujian Jin Lun High-fiber Co., Ltd. was experimented in this thesis. Changes of CODCr,pH,VFA when sewage disposal system startup and following six months was researched, and the best ratio of microbial nutrients in the anaerobic pond was tried to find out.Polyester wastewater wasn't almost treated in the anaerobic pond in the first two months. By comparison, COD was removed partly when the aerobic pond systems started at around half a month, however, in general, the removal rate is relatively low.The removal rate of CODCr was improved rapidly in July and August and buffer capacity of anaerobic pond was improved greatly.Nutrient ratio was changed in September and October, and COD removal rate of anaerobic pond up to 70%.Through the six-month observation to running of UASB , good correlation among COD, pH and VFA was found out . The best nutrient ratio in the anaerobic pond is COD∶N∶P=200∶5∶1. The wastewater can be discharged or reuse after being treated. At last, a number of abnormal phenomena and countermeasures in the production run were introduced.
