Coal is.the important resource in our country. In the consumption structure of our country, coal has the leading status. Chinese coal industry has received great development in recent 50 years, from extensive lagging production to intensive modern production, from planning economy to marketing economy. It had refulgence, went across low tide, and made us know the cruelty of market and the important of talents. However, because of the particularity of coal industry, now the status of talent security in our coal industry is rather bad: total of talent is shortage, especially the high-level talents; brain drain is very serious; talent structure is unreasonable; talent cultivation is lack; talent distribution is imbalance. This status has influence to the development of our coal industry and our economy. Therefore, it should increase the studying of talent security in coal industry and strive for solving this problem radically.Making use of the theories of talent security and characteristics of human capital, it analyzes the main problems and its reasons of the coal industry through lots of dates. On the base of it, it divides the status of talent security into five grades, builds the system of appraising indexes, and evaluates the status of talent security in coal industry using the AHP and fuzz synthesis evaluation. Its result is that the status of talent security in coal industry is between receivable grade and dangerous grade. At last, it brings forward countermeasures of ensuring talent security in our coal industry from the facts of talent cultivation, talent using, structure of talent, talent flowing etc. It has important meaning to the development of our coal industry and our economy.
