《An Analysis and Countermeasure Study on the Wide Band Accessing Market of the Country》makes an analysis on the network market of China from various angles such as the market situation, technical orientation, competing patterns, demanding characteristics and influencing factors. The thesis discusses the various aspects such as market scale, market gross, market share and forecast on its development, on the basis of which pertinent developing strategy and suggestions are presented to the Wide Band companies. Viewing from the statistical data of China's Internet network development by June 2005, China's Internet network maintained an increasing situation as a whole in the first half of 2005. The net citizen have amounted to 103 million, among which 53 million are Wide Band (xDSL, Cable Modem) goers, an increase of 71.0% over the corresponding period of 2004. This driving momentum the domestic Wide Band development is really a cardiac to the Wide Band companies. In 2005, the competition of Wide Band accessing market is becoming more and more severe. On the household customer market, DSL, especially ADSL, will continue to be the main stream of Wide Band accessing technology, whose developing direction can be summarized as longer distance, wider band and more flexible choice of charge collection. At present, the problem of how to raise the qualified rate of ADSL technology needs to be solved, particularly for the region where Wide Band business have been well developed, which make a great limit to the development of household customer market. Considering that Wide Band is becoming more and more popularized and multimedia and video information are becoming more and more acceptable on the Wide Band networks, the about 30% qualified rate will restrict the subsequent number of customers and influence the quality of service. In addition, what is worthy to be concerned is, the first is that as the width of ADSL band is increased, the classification of ADSL service is more flexible and the ADSL access of different band width can enter the subdivided markets with different charges; the second is that the ADSL access and other assisting applications will gradually blur the price competition, which will become an important competing method for the companies. In 2005, the Wide Band business is still an income-increasing point and the other is the appreciating business, while the most appreciative one is video and gaming business. In regard of income, the proportion of the Wide Band income in the income of cable network companies is showing an increasing tendency, while making not much contribution to the gross income of the companies. Private customers will become the main force to promote the development and to boost the interests of Wide Band business. The factors that cause the market change and instability are increasing, for example, the evolving ways of 3G and NGN will make great influences on the development, business strategy, marketing and supervising of Wide Band business. Since 2004, the focus of China's Wide Band network industry has been transferring from the fundamental construction of the network into the application of Wide Band. The centralizing degree of China's supplying market of Wide Band network equipment has been further improved and the competingpatterns are becoming steady: the Wide Band companies are in their different stages of development, with rather high regional monopolizing degree and rather different developing strategies; the Wide Band application markets are freely developing, but with little profit-making SP enterprises; the SP enterprise's cooperating model with Wide Band companies is rather simple, which calls for a deeper cooperation with Wide Band companies; the demands of the private customers differ greatly from that of the enterprise customers, so that the Wide Band companies shall develop products and business services, to provide different kinds of product and service. At present, there are 6.1 million of households enjoying Wide Band service in China. It is estimated that the number will increase into 176 million. Although the number of Wide Band user of China is less than some of the Asian countries, China, with such a large population, must become the key to promote the development of the future market. By 2010, the number of Wide Band using households of China will account for 64% of that of the Asian and the Pacific region. What is important is that Wide Band is walking towards us at an astonishing speed and its driving momentum is really a cardiac to all the Wide Brand companies. The Wide Brand companies shall grasp the fleeting opportunity and smooth away the problems in the process of Wide Bank development. They shall improve themselves in the aspects of service, technical application and brand creation.
