The thesis of the video image based on the SOPC system design combines the image processing techniques and the programmable LSI techniques widely used in the current digital signal processing.The design overcomes the shortcomings which depends on the computer ,but also avoide the status that the DSP chips can not be with de system requirements change.At the same time ,the limited speed of the design space and the lack of flexibility can be enhanced.The author reads and analyses many about image processing data. For real time image processing, a new design scheme of video image processing system based on SOPC is put forward in this paper. This design scheme achieves almost all functions of the video image processing system in one FPGA chip. FPGA can enhance the real-time character of the system and make the system flexible and extended by virtue of its very large scale capacity in single chip, the high-speed and parallel operation of the hardware circuit, and the power of programmable hardware and software.Firstly, combining functional requirements of the video image processing system, color space conversion, de-interlacing algorithm, multilayer overlay algorithm are introduced, and these algorithms are optimized to be achieved in the FPGA chip.Secondly, aiming at the demands of the system function and performance, the overall framework of the program is given.Thirdly, In the part of hardware, the I2C bus controller, video signal conversion module, video processing module, image display module, all of which have Avalon bus interface, are designed. These modules?? work parallel and improve the processing speed of the system; multi-channel DMA which can resolve the conflicts of video processing channels to seize the shared memory is designed. At the same time, communication programs of image and character based on UART are designed in order to achieve the information communication of the remote terminal and local system.Finally, the function modules of the system are debugged. The results show that the video image processing system designed in the paper can realize functions such as video gathering, video overlapping, UART communication, and verify the accuracy of the system.
