Research On Dialogism Strategies Of News Broadcasted In Face Of Emergencies

Dialogism refers to the presence and interaction of different voices in an utterance or discourse. Dialogism and monologue are two opposite concepts, and the distinction between these two is a matter of degree which depends on the extent to which and the way in which the addresser indicates the amount of attention he paid to the addressee and/or the presence of other voices. The study of dialogism has been largely confined in literature and little attention has been put on the research of intertextuality in the linguistic field though in recent years discourse analysts have become increasingly interested in the study of the dialogical property of non-literary texts.Since the establishment of news spokesman system, news broadcasted is always monologue, and little attention has been put on listeners, which we call the media and final listeners, however, dialogism actually plays an important role in the construction of non-literary texts. It not only organizes the texts effectively but also can cover and give clues on some relationship between language, power, and ideology which is hard to notice. Conversational strategy for the spokesman in the face of emergencies has been raised up through this article combining dialogism with a non-literary text. Besides, research on the proper conversational strategies of the spokesman is carried out through the news broadcasted by spokesman, that is 30 sections of significant integrated language materials made on the 30 press conferences of Sichuan earthquake disaster and earthquake resistance disaster relief situation hold by the national news office, the purpose of which is to promulgate its interaction, and dialogue essence through a language static representation.The reason why we choose the news broadcasted by the spokesman in the face of emergencies as analyzing materials is because of its wider extension and more difficult public sentiment control comparing with ordinary news published in paper and network, which can reflect the potential value of the news in a much better way.The path of our research is as follows, the first part is to raise the questions and research summary, and the second one is the relative theoretical background, the third part is the language material analysis and problem list, and the fourth part for the tragedy suggestion and public sentiment control, the last part is the conclusion and expectation.According to both of the theory and example analysis, this article has drawn following clues: Firstly, those speeches on the press conference made by the spokesman in the face of emergencies are all dialogism. Secondly, the degree of dialogism in the above situation depends on the efforts and ways the government uses to consider the existence of the listener and meanwhile shows it out in the speech. Thirdly, conversational press conference plays an important role in handling the emergencies and controlling Public sentiment appropriately.The contribution of this research mainly lies in following two aspects: Theoretically, this article further shows the dialogue essence when the news spokesperson issued the content during the emergencies and has broadened the dialogue theory application scope; In practice, this article has provided a natural new angle of view and an effective method for the news spokesperson when dealing with emergencies.
