The demand for public transportation is on the rise in the whole society, with the socio-economic development and the general improvement of people's living standard. However, the problems of the worsening traffic conditions, traffic accidents occurring from time to time, serious traffic congestion harass us. At the same time, it exists that the economic development was restricted by the transport constraints, so how to solve the problems of the traffic congestion has become one of the most difficult phenomenon. In this thesis, the intelligent systems on-board based on the GPRS network, the realization of the control, management and scheduling for the initial vehicle, the improvement of the efficiency of the existing transportation network are researched.1. Background and the current situation of the development of the intelligent vehicle systemWith the traffic growth, the problem of transport becomes increasingly prominent. Now, we faced traffic problems in the developed countries, so the development of intelligent vehicle system is imminent. In particular, we are faced with the coming of the information society and knowledge-based economy accelerating the use of high and new technology which makes the improvement of our transportation system being a more urgent matter. It is expected to enhance the safety and comfort in the utilization of existing roads through the improved technology, so Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) as part of the intelligent vehicle system came into being. Smart Car Intelligent Transport System as one part is gradually developed along with the development of intelligent transport systems. Intelligent Vehicle Systems will have a great market as one of the application of high-tech, so the building of the intelligent on-board system is of great significance for the development of our country economy and the industrialization of high and new technology.2. Wireless data transmission technology in the Intelligent Vehicle Systems2.1 Comparison of the wireless transmission networksAt present, what has been can be applied to wireless data transmission technology in the smart on-board system mainly includes DSRC, GSM, GPRS, CDMA, EDGE, and so on in the mobile communications. In this paper these different kinds of data transmission technology was made in-depth analysis and comparison, and then the final choice is the most rational, practical and economical GPRS packet data transmission technology as the paper-board system of intelligent wireless data transmission technology.2.2 GPRS networkGPRS can be achieved in existing GSM networks through making little changes to the system hardware and software upgrades. Compared to GSM, GPRS has two additional support service nodes: SGSN nodes GGSN. Its structure of the network follows2.3 Operating principle GPRS networkAs all telecommunications exchange network, GPRS network also has the signaling transmission platform and the data transmission platform. Therefore, GPRS network protocol stack has the protocol stack of the data transmission platform and the protocol stack of the signaling protocol stack.3. Conceptual design for the intelligent vehicle system as the application of GPRS technologySmart Car Terminal mainly used for the communications network the autonomous vehicle navigation and the vehicle positioning navigation is an important part of the on-board systems. Due to a variety of location technology and data communications network technology, there are many of in-vehicle terminal program to achieve in the intelligent vehicle system. The Smart Car Terminal in modern market is the combined way of the GPS positioning and GSM SMS. In this chapter a new GPRS-based program design based on the characteristics of the car terminal is brought forward.3.1 the composition and operational principle of the systemThe GPRS Intelligent vehicle systems mainly includes traffic control center, GPRS communication network and car terminal.3.2 key technologythrough the TCP / IP protocol suite model, the structure and function of the agreement, the realization of the procedure of IP protocol message format function, as well as the PPP protocol data frame format, the course of the conversation and the realization of the PPP agreement, we make a clear awareness and understanding of these transmit agreements based on the GPRS network which play a vital role for the wireless data transmit.4. System hardware designMobile Intelligent Terminal installed it in the car is the on-board sensors. It makes the driver of the vehicle and the intelligent vehicle system control center being an organic combination to achieve the link and control and scheduling. In this chapter, the hardware implementation in the transmission part of GPRS data transmission on car-based terminals is partly given.4.1 The overall structure design of the terminal on-boardSystem used by the major hardware, including single-chip and its peripheral circuits and GPRS wireless communications modules MC39I. Single-ship adopts MSP430F149 series produced by American T1 companies. According to the needs of the system, it is designed liquid crystal display, keyboard functions and RS232 communication.4.2 hardware design of the terminal on-boardThe main part of terminal on-board hardware includes the power module, single-chip processing module, reduction and control module, MC39I modules, serial communications module. The key chip and sub-board of the system realization is MSP430F149 single-chip, AX3232, LMlll7 and LM2576 power chips and MC39I module.5. System SoftwareThe system software design is divided into three parts: software-based design, on-board terminals software design and monitoring center software design. It focuses on solving the communications problems of the monitor and control center and the on-board mobile. It use GPRS wireless communications module MC 391 achieving data communications between them, in monitoring centers use PC machine, in GPRS wireless communications modules MC39I use the AT commands to control, data transmission using SMS way. AT commands, the encoding and decoding methods of the short message, Microsoft VB6.0 high-level programming language and IAR's software environment is the basis of the software design.6. The results and analysisThrough the presentation of hardware and software testing procedures, as well as matters needing attention in the process of tune, a series of test for hardware and software, a preliminary effort of the desired result is achieved, vehicle-related information collection and send in order to achieve effective control and scheduling of the vehicle. In particular, based on the GPRS network the technology of the data transmission in real-time and reliability fully meets our requirements. It has great market prospect and the value.7. Conclusion(1) Through the analysis of the transfer and test results it shows that: Based on GPRS data transmission on-board terminals has an advantage of with a large amount of data transmission, real-time, high security, the economy very much(2) Through the research paper, a intelligent on-board system is applicable to the current state of the transport sector control, management and scheduling with a great deal of room for market development and the application can be socialized. (3) Through promotion of intelligent vehicle system, it is bound to lead the development of intelligent transport systems and improve and solve our transport problems.
