The main work of this paper is hardware design based on the Intel 386EX microprocessor architecture hardware platform. The system implements the functions of Thyristor monitoring and transmission control in the valve control of HVDC. The scheme of system hardware design is decided in this paper; the circuit board is completed, and the method of system hardware debugging is discussed and implemented.The research on the Intel 386EX microprocessor in this paper includes internal resources, address space, the mode of operation, bus transmission and so on. The system which used the Intel 386EX as the core, includes Processor module, Memory module, CAN communication module, Enhanced Serial Communication module, Interface circuit module. Aiming at this system's printed circuit board (PCB) design, PCB layout, wiring and checkout are analyzed and studied, and the anti-jamming measures are discussed in depth.The debugging software designed in this paper completes the testing work of software and hardware on all functional modules. The function of control to every interface is realized on the embedded system board. Bootloader designed by programming completes guiding of programs in flash and initialization of system. CAN communication and HDLC optical communication between two systems can be achieved here.
