Changjiang&Taofen Prize is the Nobel prize for journalists in China, which is the result from incorporation of Fan Changjiang News Prize and Taofen News Prize in 2005.Based on research of eight sessions Changjiang&Taofen Prize owners (156 persons) , utilizing quantitative and qualitative analysis, this thesis clarifies the basic conditions of owners from views of age, sex, nationality and so on. It's concluded that all of the 156 owners are in the young and middle age, owners of Changjiang Prize is younger than those of Taofen Prize, female owners are far less than male.Furthermore, taking education background and media platform into count, the writer discuss effect of these two factors on the owner's success. In 156 owners, higher educated ones occupy 91.7% and journalism majored occupy 40%. Owners from central media are more than ones from local, and the newspaper offices have more owners. Higher education brings stronger basis for success.Central media provides a better platform for the resource advantage.Papers become a important cradle of successful reports due to the profundity characteristics.Changjiang&Taofen Prize is for the person according to his synthesized constitution, in which works of candidate are the most important. Finally, this thesis gives a quantitative analysis of fields reported by owners. 23% owners make contributions on important issues of part and the country. And meanwhile, excellent works are around the typical report, economical reformation and people's living. It's shown that works of important themes, brilliant subjects, focus on living are more favored.
