The embedded system is a special computer system which is based in computer technology ,software and hardware can be cut ,adaptation to the application system's requirement such as functionality,cost,size,power consumption. Today, the design of embedded system has occupied a great field and been a great tendency of modern electronic design. As the important element to implement miniaturization, intelligence and knowledge innovation, embedded system has been widely used and plays an important role in national defense, traffic, energy sources, industry, communication and daily life. In the field of instruments measurement and monitor, embedded system also has been committed a main role and been infiltrated in the field through the low-end products to high-end of aerospace measurement products. The requirement of the field of instruments measurement and monitor also has an important influence in the tendency and development of embedded system.At the after PC era's background that the embedded system has the dominant role, this issue will take full advantage of the outstanding characteristics of embedded systems, and put it to the application of design monitoring and control equipment. On the basis of the mainstream embedded processors ARM7 S3C44B0X and the open-source operating system uCLinux, it completed a monitoring and control platform for the development motherboard's design, and in this platform for the realization of a temperature control as an Application. The major study of aspects this paper is committed are: in the aspect of the system's hardware design, it gives the temperature control system's detail design process and the various hardware interface circuit design, the acquisition circuit and the output driver circuit, also summarizes the issues of importance design point and the attention of debugging; in the aspect of system software design, it detail describing how to structure the environment for the development, the principle and design of bootloader, uCLinux operating system migration, file system construction, drivers for interface circuit, GUI transplantation, GUI-based management software applications design, and the network-related applications design ,such as web. At last, it gives the detail process of the embedded system design and the debugging methods; and give the debugging methods according to this system's design, such as the debugging in kernel develop and the driver programmer develop, and developing the programmer in the operation system.
