The Design And Implement Of Embedded GUI

The embedded graphical user interface is an important part of an embedded real-time operating system. With the price of the hardware goes down as well as the capability is higher and higher, the embedded GUI be need more seriously than any time before.Recently we found that some embedded operating systems, such as Windows CE and Palm OS, have supported complete GUI features. With the great performance improvement of the hardware, the need for mini GUI systems is more and more urgent.At first, this paper outlines the history of embedded systems and user interface , compares several GUI systems under embedded systems , and point out the peculiarity of GUI on embedded systems, that is, lightness, less resource requirement, quicker response , high reliability and easy configuration.Based on the analysis above, this paper expounds the function and the performance of the embedded GUI, brings out the framework introduces and analyses the design and implement of the kernel module and the main data structure, important method, function process of every sub-module.
