Simulation And Realization Of AODV Protocol In Wireless Sensor Network

The wireless sensor network has integrated four kinds of technologies; include the sensors, the inserted computation, the network and wireless communication. It is considered of one of 21st century most important technologies, and it will be able to have the profound influence to the human future life. It has the broad application market in many domains, such as the military, the medical service, home use and so on.This thesis first has made the introduction to the wireless sensor network characteristic, simultaneously has compared the wireless sensor network to the traditional wireless network. The most important target for weighing the wireless sensor network quality is that the network energy consumption characteristic. Enhancing the performance of the wireless sensor network, the most important is that reducing the network energy consumption, enhancing the network the energy validity.We should reduce the nodes energy consumption from the network layer and the physical layer. To optimize route, energy consumption is needed in the network layer. The physical layer mainly adjusted and optimized the transmission power and the receive power parameter to achieve the goals of reduction energy consumption. In the multi-hops route protocol the system life-span is due to the recent node energy consumption. So it is proposed two kinds of improved programs in this thesis. First, enhances density of distribution around the gateway node. Second, using the redundant gateway node. Both the two plans can reduces retransmiting traffic around gateway node. Finally it can increase the system life-span .Second, The AODV route algorithm is introduced in detail in this thesis and we analyzed the characteristics about the application of AODV in wireless sensor network. For example, because the wireless sensor network only has one gateway node, the route table items of the sensors node are few. It has one essential table item except the reverse route table-item which is established in seeking the route.Third, We introduce the OPNET simulation tool in this thesis and do some simulation experiments. The experimental results indicated that we reduced retransmit traffic around gateway node and increased the system life-span by using the redundant method. Finally, I summarize in my thesis.
