In the modern warfare, the circumstances in the battlefield are becoming more and more complex. Electronic Counter Measures are becoming more and more common. And then brand-new and high-powered radar systems are attached more extensive importance than ever, and lead to the emergency of a testing equipment which can acquire radar echo signal and its dynamic working process in the outfield experiments when the radar is still under development and validation. The equipment also provides an effective tool and technique for studies on radar echo signal characteristics and new processing algorithms.According to the traits of modern radar signal, an implementation scheme of radar IF signal acquisition and recording system is proposed under the constraints of developing periods and costs, and the accumulations of IP. The validity of the scheme is analyzed from the following three aspects, namely, data acquisition hardware, data transferring interface, and data recording subsystem. And the design and implementation of the system are constructed based on the scheme. The block diagram and working principals of the system are demonstrated after that. And the performances of the finished system are tested.At first, the developing techniques of data acquisition hardware are discussed. The hardware is divided into four modules according to its functionality. And the four modules are signal conditioning module, A/D converting module, data buffering module, and data transferring module. The determination of the correlative parameters is also demonstrated. And the circuitries are implemented according to the analysis above.And secondly, the development of PCI device driver is addressed. The principals of WDM driver are introduced. And the guidelines of selecting developing tools are presented. And the compositions of PCI device driver are also illustrated. The Windows driver programs are implemented proceeding with the problems of hardware accessing interrupt handling, and DMA transferring.Finally, the methodologies of constructing the data recording subsystem are discussed. The conflicts between high accessing speed and huge recording capacity are resolved through multi RAID volumes. And then a recording subsystem with huge capacity and high accessing speed is constructed based on COTS, which lead to the characteristics of brief construction, low costs, and excellent scalability.
